Miranda Lambert is an American singer from Texas. Lambert has enjoyed singing from a young age, at age 16 she performed at the Johnnie High Country Music Revue. She later sought help from her father to learn guitar in order to write her own songs. After graduating from high school she was discovered by an entertainment attorney while performing at a restaurant. This led her to enter the talent competition Nashville Star in which she landed third place. She released her first studio album Kerosene in 2005 which established her as a household name in country music. Awards she has won include 1 Vevo Hot This Year Award, 2 Grammy Award, and 3 Academy of Country Music Awards.
