Ellie Goulding is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist who was born on December 30, 1986. Goulding started getting involved in music at age 9 where she learned to play the clarinet then the guitar at 14 before writing songs at 15. In her high school years she acted on stage in productions such as in the Wizard of Oz. She released her first single “Under the Sheets” in 2009 which peaked on the UK Singles Chart. She then released her debut album Lights in 2010. With the success of her album she appeared on various television shows such as Jimmy Kimmel Live! and Saturday Night Live.
