Arnold Schwarzenegger is an Austrian actor, producer, director, writer, and former professional bodybuilder born in the small village of Thal. The foundations of Arnolds future success started at age 15 when he started weightlifting. Years later he won the titles of Mr. Universe and Mr. Olympia. He leveraged his bodybuilding success to get him to America to pursue a career in acting where he appeared in films such as Stay Hungry, Pumping Iron, and The Villain. He had his big break starring in the Terminator films, in what would become one of the most recognizable film roles of all time. Later, Schwarzenegger was able to leverage his international popularity to become Governor of California, serving from 2003 to 2011. He has since returned to acting, with recent roles in The Expendables franchise as well as another turn as his iconic Terminator, among others.
