Notes From the Rep Biz ~ 9/26/2025

A Love Islander to WME! The new Elle Woods to CAA! Usher has a new agent, and a trio has been cast in Dan Fogelman's next. All this and more in todays Notes From the Rep Biz!

 

At WME:

New Zealand electronic band The Naked and Famous are now agented by WME. The duo came onto the scene with the hit single “Young Blood” in 2010. 

 

Influencer and Love Island USA season seven contestant Iris Kendall is also a new sign for the agency. Prior to Love Island Kendall was best known for running the spray tan business 310 Glo, currently she’s been growing her fashion brand with many fashion week appearances.   

 

Writer/director Mac Eldridge is also now with WME. Eldridge’s debut feature, the romantic drama Charlie Harper  just premiered at TIFF and was quickly picked up for distribution by Row K. Eldridge has also now signed with Anonymous Content.

 

 

At CAA:

Actress Lexi Minetree has signed with CAA. Minetree will be seen as the young Elle Woods in the Legally Blonde prequel series Elle. 

 

Silvia Dionicio who has been getting recognition for her work on HBO’s Task is also a new sign for the death star. Prior to Task Dionicio could be seen in FBI: Most Wanted and Chicago PD.

 

Superstar Usher is now repped by CAA. Last year Usher performed in the Super Bowl Halftime Show and released his album Coming Home.  

 

 

At UTA:

Love on the Spectrum’s Connor Tomlinson is now agented by UTA. Tomlinson appeared on seasons 2 and 3 of the Netflix series and will appear in a guest role on NBC’s Brilliant Minds. 

 

Writer/director Harry Lighton is also a new sign for UTA. Lighton recently won the Best Screenplay in the Un Certain Regard program at Cannes for the Alexander Skarsgard and Harry Melling starring biker BDSM film Pillion. Pillion will release in the UK on November 28th, while the film does not have a U.S. release date yet, it has been acquired by A24. 

 

Singer/songwriter Shane McAnally is a new sign for UTA. Since debuting in 1999, McAnally has had over 50 number one songs. He’s written songs for country’s biggest acts such as Sam Hunt, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, and Keith Urban. He also co-wrote the Tony award winning musical Shucked.

 

 

OTHER NOTES AROUND TOWN

Boxer, author, and entrepreneur Laila Ali is now repped by Paradigm. Ali is currently the host of Food Network’s Chef Grudge Match and also co-anchored the Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano fight that streamed on Netflix. Ali was inducted into the Boxing Hall of Fame in 2021.

 

Actress Karen Pittman is now agented by IAG. Pittman was nominated for an Emmy for her work on Apple’s The Morning Show as Mia Jordan. Pittman has returned for the 4th season of The Morning Show and was also on Netflix’s Forever. 

 

Actress and producer Billie Lourd is now managed by Brillstein Entertainment Partners. Lourd is the next instalment of Ryan Murphy’s Monster franchise about Lizzie Borden. Lourd will play Lizzie Borden’s older sister Emma Borden.

 

 

MUSIC NOTES

PinkPantheress is now repped by Wasserman. PinkPantheress has been on a hot streak as of late as the UK based singer/songwriter released a mixtape Fancy That, and launched a North American tour as well.

 

 

SPORTS NOTES

Colts defensive tackle Neville Gallimore has signed with LIFT Sports.

 

 

CASTING NOTES

Dan Fogelman’s new Hulu series about the NFL has added a few more actors to the roster. The Boys’ Chace Crawford, Tanner Zagarino from The Summer I Turned Pretty, and Sam Corlett. 

 

Yvonne Strahovski will be joining Vince Vaughn for season 2 of Apple’s Bad Monkey. Strahovski will play an attorney in the new season which will be an original story spinning off from Carl Hiaasen’s novel of the same name.

 

Spider-Man: Brand New Day has found a new villain in Marvin Jones III who has been cast as Tombstone in the new MCU film.

 

Drew McIntyre has joined the cast of the new Highlander remake. McIntyre will reportedly play Connor McLeod’s (Henry Cavill) brother.
