Newly minted reality TV stars to WME! A Prolific writer/director/producer to CAA! A TikTok star to UTA! While Chris Pine gets a new manager and Yellowstone spinoffs round out their cast…all this and more in Notes From the Rep Biz!
At WME:
DJ and music producer MK is now agented by WME. MK is a big figure in the house music scene and made huge waves in the 90’s with “Always” and “Burning.” His single “Dior,” was released in June. Next up MK will continue touring the festival circuit and his high profile DJ work.
The Nader Sisters (Brooks, Sarah Jane, Mary Holland, and Grace Ann) are also new signs for the agency. The sisters reality TV series Love Thy Nader was released last month on Hulu and Freeform and follows their trials and tribulations as they try to make it in New York City.
At CAA:
Writer, director, and producer Adam McKay is now agented by CAA. McKay is best known for films such as Don’t Look Up, The Big Short, and Vice.
Fashion designer and the newest Real Housewives of Beverly Hills addition, Rachel Zoe is now repped by the death star. Zoe will be joining the Real Housewives for its upcoming 15th season. She is also a founding member of Baby2Baby and created the fashion line The Rachel Zoe Collection which has expanded in recent years to include everything from makeup to home decor.
At UTA:
Actress Leslie Bibb is now agented by UTA. Bibb just came off a starring turn in the latest season of White Lotus and is set to reprise her role in Palm Royale for Apple TV.
TikToker and Twitch streamer Vanillamace is also a new sign for UTA. The 28 year-old Vanillamace has been making various vlogs which have everything from day in the life videos to game streaming and currently has 3.8 million subscribers on TikTok and 541,000 subscribers on Twitch.
OTHER NOTES AROUND TOWN
Chris Pine has signed with Brillstein Entertainment Partners for management. The Star Trek star can next be seen in Carolina Cavalli’s The Kidnapping of Arabella which premiered last month at the Venice Film Festival.
According to Deadline, manager Phillip Sun is leaving company M88. It is believed that Sun’s clients Michael B. Jordan, Gemma Chan and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II will be following him to his new digs.
Actress and writer Grasie Mercedes is now managed by Artists First. Mercedes was most recently seen on the NBC comedy Ground Crew. She was also a guest star in a second season episode of Poker Face.
MUSIC NOTES
Rapper, singer, and songwriter Samara Cyn is now repped by Wasserman. Cyn’s debut EP The Drive Home was released last year, and she performed her single “Hardheaded” on The Daily Show this past August.
Music agencies Arrival Artists and ATC Live are merging to form Roam.
SPORTS NOTES
Reed Blankenship, safety for the Philadelphia Eagles is now agented by Athletes First.
Yankees first baseman Anthony Rizzo is now repped by Excel Sports.
CASTING NOTES
Sophie Turner is the new Lara Croft in the new Tomb Raider series. Turner follows in the footsteps of Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander to take on the Lara Croft character. The new series will be produced for Amazon with Phoebe Waller-Bridge as co-showrunner.
Ed Harris has joined Yellowstone spinoff The Dutton Ranch. Harris will play a goodhearted veterinarian. The Dutton Ranch will follow Yellowstone characters Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Dutton (Cole Hauser).
Speaking of Yellowstone spinoffs…Kurt Russell has been cast in The Madison alongside Michelle Pfeiffer.
