ARTIST OF THE MONTH

Every month we’d like to highlight an artist on the rise and primed to explode. This month Inde Navarrette has caught our attention, with her haunting, terrifying and empathetic performance as Nikki in Curry Barker’s Obsession, Navarrette is a newly minted horror icon.

Navarrette's first major role was on the Netflix comedy Denton’s Death Date based on the YA novel Denton Little’s Death Date by Lance RubinFrom there Navarrette has been steadily working with prominent roles in the fourth season of Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why and as a series regular on the CW’s Superman & Lois for four seasons.

However it was the release of Obsession this month that is really lighting Navarrette’s star on fire. Horror fans and critics are praising her work in the film, with some critics even bringing up potential Oscar buzz. With this standout performance we can’t wait to see what she does next. And luckily we won’t have to wait long as her next project is the thriller film Invertigo directed by Mattias Hoene and written by Kathy CharlesBilly O’Brienand Don Roff. The story follows a group of teens who are stuck atop a broken rollercoaster high up in the air.

It's not every day an actress becomes an icon almost overnight and the sky's the limit for what's next.
