Notes From the Rep Biz ~ 10/31/2025

Up and coming singer/songwriter to WME, some K-Pop Demon Hunters have new representation, an Oscar nominee to CAA, and Lady Gaga joins the Devil Wears Prada 2…it’s NOTES FROM THE REP BIZ!

 

At WME:

K-Pop superstar EJAE is now agented by WME. EJAE performed for the singing voice for Rumi in the Netflix hit K-Pop Demon Hunters and is the voice behind the single “Golden.” The singer/songwriter’s latest single “In Another World” was just released on October 24th. EJAE has written and performed with such K-Pop acts as Girls’ Generation, Red Velvet, and aspa.

 

Singer/songwriter Abbie Callahan is also a new addition to WME’s roster. Callahan’s first EP Grossly Aware was released in July and has 2 million streams and counting. She made her debut at CMA Fest, Bonnaroo, and AMERICANAFEST this year.

 

Maesic the French DJ behind the hit single “Life is Simple (Move Your Body)” is also a new sign for the agency. The song has garnered more than 50 million streams on Spotify and was the most searched house music song on Shazam. 

 

 

At CAA:

Filmmaker Carlos López Estrada is a new sign for CAA. The Mexican born Estrada’s debut feature was 2018’s Blindspotting starring Daveed Diggs and Rafael Casal. Estrada was nominated for an Oscar for directing Raya and the Last Dragon. Next up is the silent feature Ded starring Camila Mendes and Eugenio Derbez.

 

Actor Joe Keery is also a new sign for The Death Star. Keery is best known for playing the hapless yet heroic teen Steve Harrington on Netflix’s hit Stranger Things. Keery is also a musician and is a member of the psychedelic rock band Post Animal. He will next appear in the fifth and final season of Stranger Things.

 

Ariana Greenblatt is also now agented by CAA. Greenblatt is best known for memorable turns in Avengers: Infinity War (as Young Gamora), Star Wars: Ahsoka (as young Ahsoka Tano), and Barbie. She will next be seen in the third installment of the Now You See Me franchise titled, Now You Don’t next month.

 

 

At UTA:

Comedy Touring Agent Sam Sauerhaft has left Independent Artist Group and joined UTA. It is unclear who will be following Sauerhaft to his new digs, but his client list includes: Rachel Scanlan, Des Bishop, McKenzie Goodwin, and Zoltan Kaszas.

 

Speaking of K-Pop Demon Hunters, singer/songwriter Kevin Woo is now repped by UTA. Woo was the singing voice for Mystery Saja in the Netflix megahit film and was also a member of the K-pop group U-KISS before moving into a solo and hosting career in 2018.  

 

 

OTHER NOTES AROUND TOWN

Susan Sarandon is now agented by United Agents. The Themla and Louise star can currently be seen in Nonnas on Netflix.

 

Jon Cryer is now managed by Artists First. Recently Cryer had an acclaimed turn as Lex Luthor on Superman & Lois on the CW, and the NBC sitcom Extended Family which he also produced. 

 

Actress Sarah Durn has signed with Innovative. Durn has been receiving a lot of notices for her starring role in Chris Stuckmann’s Shelby Oaks which went wide this month. 

 

Anonymous Content has signed Elizabeth Dulau and David Duchovny. Dulau had a major breakout playing Kleya Marki on Andor for Disney Plus. Duchovny is best known for playing Agent Mulder on Fox’s The X-Files, he can currently be seen on Amazon Prime’s thriller series Malice.

 

 

MUSIC NOTES

MAC Agency has signed Singer/rapper/social media personality Gavin Magnus. Magnus built his following via YouTube and TikTok and has released original singles such as “Lonely,” “Pyscho,” and his most recent “Locked In.” Magnus has over 10 million subscribers between YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.

 

Legendary hip-hop group Cypress Hill has signed with Wasserman. The group has sold over 20 million albums worldwide and have iconic singles such as “Insane in the Brain,” “How Could I Just Kill a Man,” and “I Ain’t Goin’ Out Like That.”

 

 

SPORTS NOTES

Shareef O’Neal (son of Shaquille O’Neal) is now repped by Wasserman for marketing, media, and entertainment. Shareef is now expanding into brand partnerships for Reebok and the Shaq Brand.

 

CASTING NOTES

The Devil Wears Prada 2 has added Lady Gaga to the cast. It is unclear at this time who Gaga will be playing. The film will bring back Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucciand Meryl Streep

 

Brendan Hines, Tatiana Maslany, Johnny Knoxville and Heather Graham have been added to Osgood Perkins’ next film The Young People. The film’s story is a mystery at this point but it will star Lola Tung
