A CAA agent officially moves to WME! A Heated Rivalry star to CAA! A major author to UTA! A Broadway star gets a manager, and casting updates for The Batman Part II and Tangled! All this and more in today’s Notes From the Rep Biz!
At WME:
Actress Aya Cash is a new sign for WME. Cash first blasted onto the scene in 2014’s FX romantic dramedy You’re the Worst. She also played Joan Simon in the FX miniseries Fosse/Verdan as well as Stormlight in Amazon’s The Boys. Next up Cash will reprise her Boys role in prequel series Vought Rising.
CAA agent Adam Schweitzer has officially joined WME. Bringing over clients such as: Christoph Waltz, Jim Sturgess, and Rebecca Ferguson.
At CAA:
Following his Heated Rivalry co-star Hudson Williams, Connor Storrie is now repped by CAA. The Hockey/Romance has become a smash hit on HBO Max following its premiere in November. Storrie also appeared in Joker: Folie a Deux, April X, and Tiny Beautiful Things. He also is a filmmaker and recently wrote, produced, and directed a feature film called Transaction Planet.
Kori King of RuPaul’s Drag Race fame is now agented by CAA. King was a contestant on the 17th season of Drag Race and has since gone on into the digital media space. Repeatedly being the #1 request on Cameo and going viral on TikTok.
Filmmaker Lynne Ramsay is also a new sign for the Death Star. Ramsay came from the world of music videos and exploded onto the filmmaking scene with 2011’s We Need to Talk About Kevin. From there she wrote and directed the critically acclaimed You Were Never Really Here starring Joaquin Phoenix. Her latest film Die My Love starring Robert Pattinson and Jennifer Lawrence was released this past November, earning Lawrence a Golden Globe nom for Best Actress (Drama).
At UTA:
Prolific author and publishing powerhouse James Patterson is now repped by UTA. As an author Patterson is the creator behind series such as: Alex Cross, Maximum Ride, Women’s Murder Club, and Jane Smith. Additionally, Patterson has helped re-launch pulp fiction series The Shadow and Doc Savage.
TV and development production executive Cristina Garza is moving to UTA as an agent in the independent film group. Garza was previously at the production company Fifth Season.
OTHER NOTES AROUND TOWN
Actor Tequan Richmond is now agented by Eris Talent Agency. Richmond is best known for playing Drew on My Name is Chris. He also starred on the BET series Boomerang.
British actor Jordan Scowen is now managed by Inspire Entertainment. Scowan is currently on Broadway as Etocles in the critically acclaimed production of Oedipus. He has also appeared in the historical drama series Belgravia: The Next Chapter.
Luna Blaise has signed with Brillstein Entertainment Partners. Blaise was most recently seen in this past summer’s hit Jurassic World: Rebirth. She has also appeared in Fresh off the Boat, Manifest and Deltopia.
MUSIC NOTES
Songwriter and musician Nile Rodgers is now repped by Red Light Management. Rodgers is a founding member of the band CHIC which is responsible for such hits as "Le Freak” and “Good Times.” As a music producer, Rodgers has a murderers row of credits spanning several decades, he has worked with Diana Ross, David Bowie, Madonna, and Daft Punk.

Speed Skater Brittany Bowe is now repped by agent Ian Beck.
LA Rams defensive tackle Kobie Turner has signed with Athletes First.
After leaving Evolve (the agency she co-founded) late last year, tennis player Naomi Osaka has moved back to IMG Sports.
CASTING NOTES
According to Deadline, Sebastian Stan is in talks to join another comic book series. This time he’s being eyed for a role in Matt Reeves’ The Batman Part II. He will be joining fellow Avengers alum Scarlett Johansson in the Robert Pattinson led comic book film.
Sigourney Weaver and Jason Isaacs have been cast in Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s videogame adaptation Tomb Raider. Isaacs will portray Atlas de Mornay, Lara Croft’s (Sophie Turner) uncle. Weaver will portray Evelyn Wallis a mysterious woman who wants to hire Lara, but might not be on the level.
The live action adaptation of Tangled is rounding out its cast with Teagan Croft set to play Rapunzel and Milo Manheim playing Flynn Ryder. Additionally, Kathryn Hahn is in talks to vamp it up as the villainous Mother Gothel. Michael Gracey is attached to direct.
