Box Office Round-Up ~ 3/26/25

As expected, Snow White won the box office in its opening weekend. Also as expected, however, it didn’t come close to the number Disney was likely hoping for, grossing just $42.2 million. It’s possible that it fares well over the coming weeks, and it can take solace in the fact that it was a very soft weekend for movies across the board.
Black Bag came in second with a sophomore weekend take of $4.2 million. Captain America: Brave New World held steady in third place after six weekends, grossing $4 million to land on the cusp of $200 million overall domestically. Novocaine and Mickey 17 landed in a virtual tie for fourth and fifth place with $3.6 million apiece, passing $15 million and $40 million in the U.S. overall, respectively.
This coming weekend sees a handful of contenders to mildly shake up the top five, including Jason Statham actioner A Working Man, The Woman in the Yard from Blumhouse, and Fathom Events’ The Chosen: Last Supper, Part 1, the theatrical release of the fifth season of the popular TV series.
