Box Office Round-Up ~ 9/18/24

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice held strong going into the back half of September, retaining the top spot at the box office with $51.3 million. It’s on a pace to clear $200 million domestically within a week or two. In second place, new release Speak No Evil wasn’t able to win the weekend, but the remake of the 2022 Dutch horror film took second place with a respectable $11.3 million.

Continuing its triumphant box office run, Deadpool & Wolverine took third place with $5.2 million. It’s roughly $30 million away from passing Inside Out 2 as the highest grossing movie of the year, which may be a tall order but not impossible.

Rounding out the top five were conservative mockumentary Am I Racist? from the Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh, debuting in fourth place with $4.5 million, while Reagan took fifth place with $2.9 million, for a three-weekend total of $23 million.
