At CAA:
CAA has signed Inde Navarette, one of the young stars of 13 Reasons Why, as well as the multi-talented Aisha Tyler (Criminal Minds).
The agency has also signed a hat trick of writers: Nichelle Tramble Spellman (Tell Me a Story), T.S. Nowlin (The Maze Runner series), and Kwame Kwei-Armah (I May Destroy You).
At WME:
New signs at WME include Golden Globe winner Gina Rodriguez, who brings her producing business with her, and Ramy co-star Mae Calamawy.
At UTA:
UTA's recent signs are fairly eclectic, running from social media star Quen Blackwell to Oscar-winning filmmaker Cameron Crowe to the entire Echo Location touring agency, which UTA has acquired. Echo Location has been a fixture in UK hip-hop, EDM and dance music touring, and Obi Asika, Echo Location founder, will assume the role of co-head of UTA's UK office.
At ICM Partners:
Mandy Patinkin, the musical theater legend best known for his roles in Homeland and The Princess Bride, returns to ICM, while rising directing team David Charbonier and Justin Powell have signed with the agency for only the first time.
Elsewhere Around Town:
Gersh has signed actor Pierre Png (Crazy Rich Asians), who is also now repped by Luber Roklin on the management side.
Reality producer Colin Whelan and his company Conveyor Media have signed with A3 Agency.
Manager Jairo Alvarado has departed Circle of Confusion to found ReDefine Entertainment, where he will work alongside Tony Gil and Max Goldfarb. As it happens, ReDefine has recently signed above-mentioned writer Kwame Kwei-Armah.
