Box Office Round-Up ~ 11/18/25

There’s a joke to be made about the Now You See Me pulling off some sort of magic trick, since after twelve years and three movies, it’s finally debuted atop the box office. Now You See Me: Now You Don’t won the weekend with $21 million. It’s actually a hair less than 2016’s Now You See Me 2 made when it opened, but it had to contend with Warcraft and a much different moviegoing environment. That said, it’s a welcome success for an unlikely franchise.

Unfortunately that success came at the expense of The Running Man, the latest Stephen King adaptation, this time from director Edgar Wright and star Glen Powell. It had to settle for second place with a somewhat disappointing $16.4 million. Similarly, Predator: Badlands dropped to third place in its second weekend with just $12.7 million, though it may have more staying power due to the most positive word-of-mouth of the top three.

Regretting You and Black Phone 2 rounded out the field with a respective $3.7 million and $2.6 million. Two heavy hitters are expected to hit the big screen between now and Thanksgiving, with Wicked: For Good arriving on Friday and Zootopia 2 next Wednesday.
