Notes From the Rep Biz ~ 11/14/2025

An MCU star to WME! YouTubers to CAA! Olympians to UTA! The Beatles project casts its leading ladies, while One Piece rounds out its cast for Season 3! All this and more in Notes From the Rep Biz… 

 

At WME:

Actress Katherine LaNasa is now agented by WME. LaNasa has been steadily working since 2001 where she starred on the NBC sitcom Three Sisters in 2001-2002More recently she played nurse Dana Evans on HBO’s The Pitt which she won an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress. She will reprise the role in season 2.

 

Black Panther actor Winston Duke is also a new sign for WME. Duke is best known for his memorable role of M’Baku in the Black Panther films. He also co-starred in Jordan Peele’s 2019 film Us. Duke also appeared in last year’s The Fall Guy opposite Ryan Gosling. He will next appear in Avengers: Doomsday as M’Baku.

 

After a brief stint at Wasserman, Electronic/Dance music producer Gryffin is back at WME. Gryffin released his third studio album Pulse last year and included a tour. He has a residency in Las Vegas at Wynn Nightlife.

 

 

At CAA:

YouTuber Sam Eckholm is now repped by CAA. Eckholm is an Air Force veteran who now makes content all about the aerospace sector and American service members. He has 2.5 million followers on social media and 1.36 million YouTube followers.

 

Actress Erin Doherty is also a new sign for the death star. Doherty is best known for her work on Netflix’s Adolescence for which she won an Emmy. Doherty also played Princess Anne in the third and fourth seasons of The Crown. She will next be seen in the BBC’s California Avenue alongside Bill Nighy and Helena Bonham Carter as well as the Hulu series A Thousand Blows with Stephen Graham.

 

Grammy winning band Train is now with CAA as well. The band’s signature hit “Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me)” won two Grammy’s in 2002. More recently, Train released a live album last year and are set to go on a 25th anniversary tour next year.

 

 

At UTA:

Singer, songwriter, and actress Rita Ora is now agented by UTA. Ora is best known for her work as a singer with hit singles “R.I.P” and “How We Do (Party).” She has also been featured on tracks by Iggy Azalea. On the acting front Ora was Mia Grey in the Fifty Shade of Grey trilogy.

 

Olympic fencer Miles Chamley-Watson is also a new sign for UTA. Chamley-Watson was the first American in over a century to win a World Championship title in foil fencing in 2012. Now, he wants to expand his business opportunities in the sports, fashion, and digital media spaces. 

 

Comedian and podcaster Adam Friedland is also joining UTA. Friedland is the host of “The Adam Friedland Show” a comedy talk show inspired by The Dick Cavett Show. He is also a stand-up comic and performs all across the United States. 

 

 

OTHER NOTES AROUND TOWN

Don Johnson is now repped by Gersh. Johnson is best known for his role of Sonny Crockett on Miami Vice. Lately he has been seen in Django Unchained, Rebel Ridge, and Doctor Odyssey. 

 

Agent Greg Pedicin has left Gersh and joined Untitled Entertainment as a manager.

 

Management company 2AM is closing its doors. And managers Christine D’Souza Gelb and Kevin Rowe heading to new ventures. At this time it is unclear where D’Souza Gelb will go, but Rowe has joined Entertainment 360 as a manager.

 

 

MUSIC NOTES

Max B is now agented by Cara Lewis Group. The rapper and singer was just released from prison and his most recent album Negro Spirituals dropped while he was incarcerated. Max B has also collaborated with French Montana, Wiz Khalifaand A$AP Mob

 

According to Billboard Drake has dropped his longtime booking agent Brent Smith (Wasserman) and is reportedly moving over to CAA.

 

 

SPORTS NOTES

76ers guard Quentin Grimes has signed with CAA. 

 

Red Sox first baseman Triston Casas is now repped by Roc Nation.

 

 

CASTING NOTES

The Beatles: A Four Film Cinematic Event has cast its leading ladies; Mia McKenna-Bruce will play Maureen Starkey (Ringo Starr’s first wife), Saoirse Ronan is set to play Linda McCartney,  Anna Sawai will be Yoko Ono, while Aimee Lou Wood is Pattie Boyd (George Harrison’s first wife). The project comes from director Sam Mendes and will be four interlocking films all released in April 2028. Paul Mescal, Barry Keoghan, Joseph Quinnand Harris Dickinson will portray the four Beatles.

 

Cole Escola and Xolo Maridueña have been added to the cast of Netflix’s One Piece live action adaptation. Escola won a Tony for their performance in Oh, Mary! will portray Bon Clay in season 3. Maridueña, best known for his role as Miguel Diaz in the Karate Kid spinoff series Cobra Kai, will portray Portgas D. Ace also in season 3.

 

Jeff Wahlberg has been set for a recurring role in season 3 of Euphoria. It is unknown who he will play in the HBO drama series, but reportedly season 3 will feature a time jump, taking the characters out of teenagehood. Wahlberg’s breakout role was in the 2017 indie Don’t Come Back From the Moon directed by Bruce Thierry Cheung and starring James Franco and Rashida JonesHe can also be seen in Cherry and The Girl From Plainview.
